Well, once again, I have failed to post the next story for the Saturday writing challenges in August. My original plan, as those of you know who read the original post, was to write a story every Saturday in August featuring a man with a gun, and to invite my readers to do the same and share links to their stories.
However, as soon as I posted that challenge, my business and personal life got so busy that I have not been able to find time to sit down and write anything new at all for the past two weeks.
So I have to face the fact that this time around, the challenge is bigger than I am. I hate to say it, but I have failed to reach this particular goal. However, there are other goals ahead, and perhaps, when things slow down in other aspects of my life, I can get back to the fun of challenging myself and other writers as well.
If you’re reading this, and you wrote a story for the challenge, please go ahead and post your link in the “Comments” section of the original “Man With A Gun” challenge post.
Thanks a lot for your understanding.

If you tried using the “new” editor, you would have been frustrated anyway. I hardly got one out myself because of the frustration.
Keep up the good work and by the time you write the next post, it may be fixed.
I don’t like that “new” editor either, but if I go directly to my dashboard and go over to the far left column and click on “Posts,” then on “New Post,” it gives me the old editor. Also, I noticed there is a statement at the very top of the page — above the new editor — that will let you click to switch to the “classic” editor window. I use that.
We all take on too much these days, I’ve bitten off more than I can chew this summer 🙂
Good to know I’m not alone. Hope things settle down for you soon as well.
Not to worry, everyone will still be here. 😉
That poor guy with the gun is still waiting in the wings for his entrance. He may have to wait a long time.
Sister Sandra, sometimes we have a turn in the road we travel that is unexpected. No worries, enjoy the journey and know the stories inside of you are getting more depth as you do other tasks. 🙂
Thank you for the encouragement.
🙂
No worries!!
At least, this way nobody shoots anybody.
Oh, I know this feeling so well Sandra but don’t feel bad about it hon. Life does get in the way sometimes but we do have to prioritize. I also had a few challenges that I ended because it does take a lot of time and effort. This way you are just making more time for yourself and your excellent writing. 😀
